Coffee Machine Maintaince
How often should the machine be descaled ? How to clean?
1.In order to ensure the best performance of the appliance, the cleanliness of its inner water channels, and the pure, good taste of your coffee, the appliance should be descaled and maintained on a regular basis of every 1-3 months; 2.Add water and descaler into the water tank up to the MAX level (about 1.7L total, with a 4:1 ratio of water and descaler, see descaler instruction manual for specifics). Please use the “descaler for home coffee machine” or buy the specific descaler from the service center. If out of descaler, substitute with citric acid (the ratio of water and citric acid is 100:3); 3.1) Descaling coffee boiler: After preheating, press any coffee making button to let at least 150 ml water flow out from the group head, to clean the internal water pipe. Please repeat more than 3 times.
2) Descaling steam pipes: Press steam button to preheat the steam function. After steam preheating, turn on the stem knob to release at least 2 min steam to clean the steam pipe.
3)Descaling coffee pipes: Place cleaning disc into the portafilter and add the appropriate amount of coffee machine descale. Twist the portafilter with descaler into the group head, press manual coffee making button to start brewing without water flowed out to rinse the group head deeply. After 5-10s brewing, press manual coffee making button to stop. Repeat the above process again after 3-5s . Please remove the portafilter, clean up the coffee stains that is flowed out from the group head and take out the cleaning disc, that you will finish. Refill the water tank to max capacity line (without descaler). Repeat this cycle until there is no water left (if the appliance is still not thoroughly clean and gives off a smell of descaler or citric acid, you can repeat the steps until the odor vanishes).
